Bin 504 2006 "Gumbo" Release Party

Well, the time has come. Our much anticipated (by us, anyway) 2006 Bin 504 is ready for release to the public. The release party is set for Tuesday, April 27th, at Deutsches House on 200 South Galvez Street, New Orleans, LA 70119 from noon to 11 PM. We will be pouring Bin 504 Gumbo as part of the 2010 Threadhead Patry because Peter and I share a love for New Orleans music with the Threadheads and we wholeheartedly support their cause. So come on out and celebrate the great music of New Orleans with what we believe is a really good wine from Paso Robles. The combination should be killin'...in a good way. For more details on Threadhead Records, their mission and the patry, check out their official web site. Visit the Bin 504 Facebook Fan Page for the details on when we're pouring that day.

For those of you who want to know what it might be like to experience Bin 504 Gumbo, here is the blurb from our label:

They say a wine takes on the personality of its winemakers...well, we don’t know if they say it, but we do! Young but complex, smooth yet spicy, this mellow vintage has a buttery body (the way Cindy likes it!) with a hint of chocolate cherry cordials, a little allspice on the nose and a mildly tart and fruity undertone. Like a good gumbo, the individual flavors come together to form a wine that is comforting and inviting, that will start strong and finish as smoothly as a Leroy Jones’ trumpet solo, as funky as a Trombone Shorty show, as soulful as the voice of John Boutte and as powerful as a blast of Bonerama.
Enjoy Bin 504 on its own or as a perfect complement to Chris' spaghetti and meatballs at Vaughn's; goat cheese tots at 3 am at 13 while playing “Freddie Freeloader” or “In the Waiting Line” on the jukebox; with a home-cooked gumbo or etouffe; and, especially with a piece of chocolate.

Bin There, Drunk That!

Kevin and Peter.
